Emergency Procedures

Life Threatening Emergencies: Call 911
(i.e. Fire, Serious Injury, Crimes in Progress, Medical Emergencies, etc.)

Non-Emergencies/ Police Officer Needed: Call 215-493-4011
(Identify that you are from Lower Makefield Township, not Yardley)
(i.e. Minor Traffic Accidents, Suspicious Activity, etc.)

For Routine Police Dept. Business: Call 215-493-4055
(Lower Makefield Police Dept., for Administrative Purposes)

In case of emergency or suspicious activity, first notify the police. Be sure to tell them that you are from Neighborhood Watch.

Once the police have been called, immediately call your Block Captain.

If your Block Captain is unavailable, please call your Neighborhood Liaison.

This will activate the neighborhood watch phone chain, which will notify neighborhood watch members in the event of any suspicious or criminal activity.

Please remember when you call the 215-493-4011 number, the dispatcher is located in Ivyland. You must give your address as Lower Makefield, not Yardley, or your call may be misdirected. You must also remember that if you are calling to give information on a previously reported crime, the dispatcher does not necessarily know what you are referring to. Ask the dispatcher to have a Lower Makefield police officer call you back. Give the officer some background information and then whatever new information you may have.

Thank you for cooperation in adhering to these procedures.
