THEFT FROM VEHICLE:

1400 block Laurie Ln., reported at 8:29AM. Victim reported that the unlocked vehicle was entered and remote control garage door opener was taken.

1300 block Heller Dr reported at 10:50AM. Victim reported that someone entered the unlocked vehicle and took an I-pod and a pair of sunglasses with a total value of about $750.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 2000 block Wyngate Dr., reported at 10:11AM. Victim reported that the rear passenger side window on the vehicle was damaged while in the driveway.

DUI / ARREST – Big Oak Rd and Oxford Valley Rd at 12:45AM. Police stopped a vehicle for violations and further investigation revealed that the male driver was driving under the influence. He was taken into custody and processed.

8/19/08

FRAUD – 900 block Stony Hill Rd reported at 12:15PM. Complainant for a company reported that a person paid about $4,500 using worthless checks to buy products. The actor then tried to repay using checks again, but was still short $3,500.

ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM VEHICLE – Unit block Ivy Ln., reported at 5:47PM. Victim reported that overnight someone entered the vehicle, but nothing was taken.

SOLICITORS – 1500 block Applewood  Dr., reported at 7:30PM. Police were advised that solicitors from Verizon were operating in the area. The two males were located by police and advised. Further investigation by police revealed that one of the males from Philadelphia had an outstanding warrant out of Philadelphia; however, the warrant issue was clarified. Also, he was not licensed to operate a vehicle and had other motor vehicle violations, he was issued traffic citations.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

1300 block Knox Dr reported at 8:07AM. Complainant reported that overnight someone smashed out the rear window on their neighbor’s car.

1200 block Madison Dr reported at 6:40AM. Victim reported that overnight someone smashed out the rear window on the car causing about $300 in damage.

1200 block Knox Dr., reported at 8:32AM. Victim reported that overnight someone smashed out the rear window on the car causing about $500 in damage.

1200 block Madison Dr., reported at 9:18AM. Victim reported that overnight someone smashed out the rear window on the vehicle causing about $1,000 in damage.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE – 100 block Wildflower Cir., reported at 4:08AM. Victim reported that overnight someone took 10 music CD’s, the vehicle registration card and insurance card from the inside of the vehicle.

8/17/08

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – Big Oak Rd by Stony Hill Rd at 9:42AM. Police responded to a one vehicle accident, car vs. utility pole. The driver sustained minor injuries and the vehicle was towed.

THEFT – 9200 block Sheffield Rd reported at 10:48AM. Victim reported that a Sirius satellite radio valued at $200 was taken from the unlocked car overnight.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – SR-322 and I-95 at 5:27PM. Police responded to a two vehicle accident; motorcycle vs. car. Minor injuries were reported and the motorcycle was removed by tow.

8/15/08

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 6900 block Spruce Mill Dr., reported at 7:09AM. Victim reported that sometime last night after 10:00PM, someone used cheese slices to make the shape of a Swastika on the windshield of the vehicle. Also a whole egg was placed on the windshield wipers and a rear seat inside the vehicle.

8/14/08

RETAIL THEFT – 1581 Big Oak Rd at Blockbuster Video, reported at 7:59PM. Complainant reported that a white male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, with brown hair, large sideburns, mustard button down shirt, blue fleece jacket and khaki cargo shorts removed a Carmen Electra hip hop dance DVD valued at $15 from the store.

THEFT – 800 block Big Oak Rd at the Exxon Station, reported at 8:30AM. Victim reported that tools were taken in the last week from a fenced in area in the rear of the station. The padlock was cut off and a 20 ton jack, engine hoist and air bumper jack with a combined value of $4,250 were taken.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 5900 block Spruce Mill Dr., reported at 11:26AM. Victim reported that a side window on the vehicle was smashed out overnight.

SOLICITORS – 1200 block Colts Ln., reported at 5:00PM. Complainant reported solicitors operating in the area without permits. The magazine sellers were located by police and non-traffic citations are going to be issued to several solicitors and possibly the company involved. (Note: I like to thank some of the Neighborhood Watch Associations that have helped with this type of problem in the past few weeks.)

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

5900 block Spruce Mill Dr. reported at 7:20PM. Victim reported that between 8:00PM on 8/11 and 6:30PM on 8/13 someone keyed the vehicle on the hood and doors.

2000 block E. Wellington Rd. reported at 7:45AM. Victim reported that the mailbox was smashed overnight.

THEFT – 300 block Ramsey Rd reported at 8:58AM. Victim reported that about $800 in cash was taken from the home on 8/4/08, possibly by a friend of their son’s.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

1100 block Roelofs Rd. reported at 6:15AM. Victim reported that the mailbox valued at $100 was damaged overnight.

1000 block River Rd at Macclesfield Park, reported at 2:06PM. Complainant reported that someone knocked over a large outdoor tent and damaged twelve of the support poles. The incident occurred after 10:00PM and the damage is valued at about $400.

THEFTS:

500 block Keating Dr. reported at 9:15AM. Victim reported that a clay pot and flower arrangement was taken from the porch of the residence between 8/6 and 8/8/08.

200 block W.Ferry Rd reported at 3:49PM. Victim reported that out going mail that was placed in the residential mailbox was taken between 10:30PM and 11:00AM. The mail consisted of various checks and greeting cards.

VEHICLE THEFT – 200 block Taylorsville Rd at the Park-N-Ride, reported at 4:09PM. Victim reported that a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix was taken from the parking lot. The theft occurred after 2:00PM and the vehicle was locked. The vehicle contained numerous hand tools valued at about $1,500.

FRAUD – 1100 Buckingham Way reported at 2:45PM. Complainant reported that someone fraudulently opened a Verizon phone account using the complainant’s name and address. The complainant believes it was opened by an associate of his.

8/11/08

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 200 block Valley Dr. reported at 7:19AM. Victim reported that the mailbox valued at about $100 was damaged overnight.

FRAUD – 300 block Saly Rd reported at 2:45PM. Complainant reported the fraudulent use of credit cards totaling about $2,123 and the charges were made in New Jersey.

THEFT – Unit block Westover Ct. reported at 7:00AM. Victim reported that their American flag valued at $50 was taken.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

Unit block West Crown Terr. reported at 7:00AM. Complainant reported that the mailbox was damaged overnight.

Unit block Westover Ct. reported at 7:00AM. Complainant reported that the mailbox was damaged overnight and someone placed mud inside their vehicle.

300 block Michael Rd reported at 7:00AM. Complainant reported that the mailbox was damaged overnight.

300 block Ramsey Rd reported at 7:00AM. Complainant reported that the mailbox was damaged overnight.

100 block Garden Cir. Reported at 12:40AM. Victim reported hearing a noise and upon investigating found the mailbox and post broken off. A vehicle was seen fleeing south on Stony Hill Rd.

Unit block Fenwood Pl. reported at 1:09AM. Victim reported that their vehicle had been damaged by a mailbox and post that had been thrown onto the vehicle. The trunk, rear window and roof of the vehicle were damaged.

8/8/08

RETAIL THEFT – 1581 Big Oak Rd reported at 9:00PM. A store employee reported that three sets of DVD’s were taken from a shelf. The security bands were found on an adjacent shelf and the store’s security tape revealed that a white male about 20 to 30 years of age was in this area. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with a tie, blue jeans and some facial hair. The value of the DVD’s is about $40.

RETAIL THEFT – 635 Heacock Rd at McCaffrey’s Supermarket, reported at 7:45AM. Store employees reported that a female removed about $45 worth of items from the store, but left the items in the parking lot. She was seen driving out of the parking lot and witnesses were able to obtain vehicle tag information.

PUBLIC DRUNK / CITATIONS – Oxford Valley Rd by US Route 1 at 3:11PM. Police observed a male riding a bicycle on a limited access highway. Further investigation revealed that the male was under the influence of alcohol, he was cited for the violations.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – Pine Grove Rd and Big Oak Rd at 7:43AM. Police responded to a two vehicle accident with towing required.

NON-REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENTS – Police responded to several minor accidents on the day shift:

600 block Heacock Rd at the Edgewood Village Shopping Center – Two vehicles involved.

700 block Township Line Rd – Two vehicles involved in the parking lot.

THEFT FROM AUTO – Unit block Noreen Dr reported at 9:00AM. Victim reported that overnight someone entered the unlocked vehicle and took a pair of sunglasses and a video game with a combined value of $300.

8/6/08

THEFT – 1100 block Cobblestone Ct reported at 10:34PM. Victim reported that a yellow and red “JC Hawaii” surfboard valued at $1,000 was taken from an unlocked shed.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY – 1700 block Yardley-Langhorne Rd reported at 9:20AM. Victim reported that sometime after 7/24/08 someone entered the unsecured residence and removed two VCR’s and copper pipe from baseboards. Also taken was some plumbing fixtures with a value of about $5,000.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – Unit block Kenmore Ln reported at 10:27AM. Victim reported that overnight someone smashed a Chiminea valued at $200 and is located in the backyard.

SOLICITING / CITATIONS – 1400 block Innis Ln reported at 7:24PM. Complainant reported that a black male was at the back door of the residence. The actor who was identified from Upper Darby, PA had no explanation as to why he was at the back door. He was cited for soliciting without a permit.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

Unit block Glen Dr. reported at 8:00AM. Victim reported that a window on their vehicle was smashed overnight.

1500 block Revere Rd reported at 8:00AM. Complainant reported that their vehicle was egged overnight.

400 block Schindler Dr. reported at 11:58AM. Complainant reported that someone covered their trees with toiler paper.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY – Unit block Springtree Ln. reported at 10:49AM. Victim reported that after returning home from a vacation the residence was found burglarized. Entry was made by pushing through a side privacy window and then unlocking the door. The bedrooms were ransacked and at this time it appears that foreign coins and jewelry were taken.

REPORTABLE AUTO ACCIDENT – Taylorsville Rd and Mt. Eyre Rd at 1:20PM. Police responded to a one vehicle accident. A PECO truck rolled over at this location and the driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

SOLICITORS / CITATIONS – 1500 block Pownal Rd. reported at 2:29PM. Complainant reported that four persons were going door to door trying to sell some type of cleaner. Police responded and all four were cited for soliciting without a permit.

THEFT FROM AUTO – 1200 block Colts Ln. reported at 5:00PM. Victim reported that $200 in U.S.C. and an I-pod were taken overnight from an open convertible in an open garage.

8/4/08

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 900 block Princess Dr. reported at 6:19PM. Complainant reported that between 8/3 and 8/4 someone damaged the mailbox.

VEHICLE FIRE – 100 block Taylorsville Rd at 9:44AM. Police responded with the Yardley-Makefield Fire Company to this location. A female driver was in her vehicle when it caught on fire. She suffered from smoke inhalation and transported to the hospital.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

600 block Deerpath Ln. reported at 12:37PM. Complainant reported that their mailbox was damaged overnight.

Unit block Morningside Dr. reported at 3:00PM. Complainant reported that their mailbox was damaged overnight.

8/3/08

VEHICLE THEFT – 13000 block Cornerstone Dr reported at 9:10PM. Victim reported that a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R100K4 with a P.A. registration plate was taken from the parking lot. The cycle was locked and the lock was recovered in a grassy area.

DUI / ACCIDENT / ARREST – 500 block Countess Dr. at 12:24AM. Police responded to a one vehicle accident were the driver lost control and struck a pine tree. The vehicle then flipped and came to rest on the lawn of a residence. Police observed that the driver was visibly intoxicated and was taken into custody.

8/2/08

THEFT – Unit block Lower Hilltop Rd reported at 6:27PM. Victim reported that a blue with silver seat bicycle was taken from outside the residence.

THEFT FROM AUTO – Unit block Glen Dr. reported at 10:04AM. Victim reported that about $20 and an owner’s manual for a 1998 Chevy were taken from the vehicle.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY – 1300 block Yardley Rd at Marrazzo’s, reported at 2:58AM. Police responded to an alarm activation at this location. Upon arrival police observed a shattered upper level window. The owner arrived and said that it did not appear that was anything disturbed or taken. A trailer on the property was entered via a side window that was smashed out and again it does not appear that anything was taken.

8/1/08

ATTEMPTED VEHICLE THEFTS: (NOTE - Both of these incidents occurred in developments that sit adjacent to each other)

22000 block Cornerstone Dr. reported at 7:36AM. Victim reported that overnight someone smashed out the passenger window of the Chevy and entered the vehicle. The steering column was tampered with and ignition wires were ripped out.

2100 block Sterling Rd. reported at 8:30AM. Victim reported that overnight someone smashed out the passenger side window of the Dodge Ram and entered the vehicle. The steering column was tampered with and the ignition wires were ripped out.

7/31/08

UNDERAGE DRINKING CITATION – Edgewood Rd and Deerpath Ln. at 11:50PM. Police on patrol observed a male juvenile and further investigation revealed that he was under the influence and he was cited for public drunkenness.

ATTEMPTED THEFT – Unit block Homestead Dr reported at 1:25AM. Complainant reported observing a white with dark hair and wearing a t-shirt and shorts going through their vehicle. Police responded with a K-9, but had negative results in locating the subject. Nothing was taken form the vehicle.

7/30/08

THEFT FROM AUTO – 600 block Woodford Dr reported at 11:48PM. Victim reported that a stereo face plate valued at $200 was taken from inside the vehicle between 2:00PM and 11:00PM.

MOTOR VEHICLE VIOLATIONS – US Route 1 and Oxford Valley Rd at 4:05PM. Police stopped a vehicle for violations and investigation led to further violations and multiple traffic citations being issued to the operator for inspection violations and counterfeit inspection stickers.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – 400 block Ramsey Rd reported at 7:53AM. Complainant reported that overnight someone knocked over the mailbox causing about $100 in damage.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT CITATIONS – 600 block Tomlinson Ln reported at 11:16PM. Police advised of person(s) deploying large size fireworks by the residence. Police arrived on scene and the defendant refused to open the door. Evidence of the fireworks was observed on the ground and the defendant is to be cited for disorderly conduct.

7/29/08

TRESPASSING CITATIONS – 1050 Edgewood Rd – LMT Pool Complex at 2:06AM. Police observed several persons on a surveillance camera that were in the pool. When police units responded to the scene, some of the actors had fled. Several others were detained and cited for trespassing. Some clothing items and identification of the actors that fled were left behind. The investigation is continuing and further citations to be issued.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE – 1800 block Polo Run Dr reported at 4:54AM. Victim reported that someone entered the vehicle and took about $60 worth of items.
